Unlike most other companies just buy the XC parts from Taiwan mass makers, simple change the color or size, as their own design. We study and design the parts, then we make these parts by ourselves. This is the reason why we have so much special design you can't find anywhere else.

We design our parts in a full bike environment, to guarantee the parts group works well when we build them up.


From this picture you can see the design of the SL stem

for such high riser stem, the steerer tube clipper high only about 40mm, without slope cut to make sure the correctly preloads. By using this stem, You can cut the fork steerer tube about 30mm shorter than before.

The butted thickness make it light and strong.

The bottom picture can help you to make a choice from the different geometry. We have take the head angle 72d in mind.


Unlike most company buy disc brake from others and put their logos on, we design a trials specific disc brake and make it ourselves in our own factory.


The new way to make the rim lighter.

the ECHO SL rim, unlike the all other trials specific rim which drill the inner wall and outer wall at the same place, ECHO SL CNC rim design only drill the inner wall above the nipple holes, we cut the outer wall between the nipple holes. so result is a no weak point rim. Since the CNC cutting holes on the outer wall is very big, we can use thicker outer wall design than drill rims, it means spoke tension can be higher, for better building strength.

The CNC rim is cut one hole by another hole, It takes about 40 minutes to finish one single rim. So it's not cheap.


The hand brakes and level blades.

New level blade of SL rim brake has a sharp looking silver line on the front, looks cool. But the major improve is the shape of the level blade end, it feel very comfortable. The new level blade is 30% lighter. The level blade of the disc brake has same design but in different size. We also cut the main cylinder body of the SL rim brake, it looks much lighter, but in fact we just save 7grams from the cutting of the main cylinder body.

You may ask why we use vertical main cylinder instead the Horizontal one like the new ECHO TR hand brake. The reason is:


We design the first ECHO CNC crank in 2005 summer. In the last 3 years, zero cranked report. It means it's very strong, so we are sure it's too strong for some riders. So we keep the design as ECHO URBAN crank, for who need something really strong. And remove some grams to make it lighter, as ECHO SL cranks.

From the picture at the bottom, you can see there is no special weak point in the crank. Not every crank can be drill for lighter, ECHO crank has "I" shape design, most material on the outside, so even we remove the material inside the cranks still no weak point.


ECHO SL booster stress testing, you can see the stress well distributed all over the booster.

There is a very interesting question: why don't you make a carbon booster? The answer: Carbon is light but very flexible, think about the fishing pole. Booster is for limit the flex, so carbon is not for booster.

uRBAN booster is stronger and less flex, but weight 22grams more:
